| Ona Energy Appoints Sandeep Poonia As Director Vancouver, British Columbia, July 6, 2009, Ona Energy Inc. (CNSX: OEIX / Frankfurt: O3X) wishes to inform its shareholders that were not present at the AGM that all items that were on the agenda that required shareholder vote were approved including the share consolidation and name change. Ona will be coordinating this last issue with the CNSX and transfer agent and communicate back to shareholders shortly with respect to exact timing as to when this will be effective. Subsequent to the AGM at a Directors Meeting held on July 3rd, 2009 the board of Ona has appointed Mr. Sandeep Poonia, a Vancouver area businessman with strong relationships in China, as a new director thus filling the seat left open by Mr. Jimmy Jin who did not seek reelection. Mr. Poonia has also been appointed Chairman of the Board, President and CEO replacing in these functions John Wong who however remains a director and key strategic consultant to the Company. The board is confident that this change will help the Company better succeed as it transitions away from the startup stage to that of a fully operating independent power producer.
